In trying to move away from all things ms, i recently installed linux mint and wanted to try out kodi on this For the curious, the source code is on github. In particular i wanted to see how iptv works
I'm running linux mint 22 and although kodi will install there is no section in the addon folder for pvr clients There is a version for chrome, firefox and edge I've tried a few things to install simple iptv pvr through software centre and through the command line but it never shows up.
I notice that it's possible to run jellyfin as media server and kodi as media client and that there is 2 ways of doing so
The question is what is the best choice in my case? My server (dvbviewer) is on a separate pc, and it does take a while to start up if i reboot the server That's inevitable, everything can't just start instantaneously So by the sound of it you need to either delay starting kodi until your backend is up and running (which could be done by changing line 2 of the script) or start kodi with pvr disabled
Personally i don't like my pvr clients. I’m a bit confused about a dlna server I know you can run some on a nas like plex or jellyfin I thought kodi could be a server but some say no it’s a player
Is it a server and if so how would one use it
Can it go on a nas too If you using say shield can it run from shield as a server and a player?if it’s not a server why do some think it is I think i just went cross eyed. My android tv perhaps the path to the executable is not available or incorrectly defined
External players (wiki) check the android section in the wiki, does your device/tv have enough memory for all those players A full debug log would show if your script is being seen. First of all i want to say thank you for all your work and support and great work you do I was using kodi with pleasure with previous webos versions but today i just updated my television ( 65g26la) to new version ( 23.20.56) and noticed that kodi is not working anymore
I deleted it and installed again from homebrew store but results didn't change
I wanted inform you and also. I don't want to recommend any ir receiver with poor driver compatibility or impaired function This guide is dedicated to configuring a logitech harmony remote to control kodi entertainment center Set up is specific to windows.
Wow i take back what i originally stated in this message I just checked in with the latest version and tried the detailed information option The skin is perfect now just the way i was hoping to use it It's like you read minds
Happily migrated back from the original fuse!!
Check the log for more information about this message Did you check your log To receive meaningful assistance you will need to provide a full debug log The instructions are here.debug log (wiki) if you are using the basic method, then ensure the following is applied.1
Enable debugging in settings>system settings>logging, 2 I created a browser extension to send videos to kodi from its browser
